On the bank of Jinari river flowing towards the Brahmaputra, devastated by floods, reduced to ashes in Garo-Rabha clashes, this is an Assam-Meghalaya border village, adopted by Jeevan. Recently 1285 Assam Lemon saplings were planted in the unutilized land of the villagers. Hope we catalyze a change in their standard of living. May their food be more nutritious, mother’s treatment or child’s education cost be met, a couple of new bicycles or a television set arrives in the village. This is part of a dream nurtured for last five-years by volunteers’ association Jeevan Initiative. Fruitfulness of this experiment will result in more Jeevan Gaao.
